ICOS held a press conference to report the outcome of the 2004 Vienna International Symposium on “Global Governance, Transparency and Drug Policy”, which took place one day prior at the Austria Centre Vienna on the occasion of the 47th Session of the Comission on Narcotic Drugs (CND).

The Executive Director of ICOS, Mr. Emmanuel Reinert, gave an introductory speech, and symposium speakers Senator Pierre Claude Nolin, Chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Illegal Drugs, Canada; Raymond Kendall, Honorary Secretary General of Interpol; and Prof. Susan Stern, Special Advisor for the Alfred Herrhausen Society for International Dialogue, Germany, were joined by Sir Keith Morris, former UK ambassador to Colombia, to provide their commentary on the current framework in the context of global governance principles and transparency.
