On the 24th of October, ICOS hosted an International Symposium on Canada’s involvement in Afghanistan, the role of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force and the international community’s response to the country’s needs in terms of development and reconstruction.
International and Afghan experts discussed the achievements of the past five years of the international community’s presence in Afghanistan and the steps that should urgently be taken to solve the country’s current security and poverty crises.
